50 Cent just got out the hospital and hit up Funkmaster Flex show on Hot 97 with DJ Drama. The two were in town to promote their Gangsta Grillz The Lost Tape mixtape due out May 22. The mogul shared his views on gay marriage, spoke on being hospitalized, rumored beef with Lloyd Banks working with Cam’ron, signing Ma$e to G-Unit and The Game. Check out the excerpts below.
On his rumored rift with Lloyd Banks:
“There’s a point where artists need to go and develop on their own and I think he reached that point. He should executive produce his own project. He been picking his own music. Now it’s time for them to find that manager, those outside people who can completely focus on their projects and take them to that next level.”
On Cam’ron:
“They should look forward to us working together, music and film. We gonna be doing something that happens first of the month. We’ll swap each one of the months.”
On Game:
“They looking at me saying, ‘You’ve done a lot, but what have you done for me lately?’ So they damn sure don’t care about what he doing.”
On Ma$e:
“[Diddy] picked up Ma$e, I thought he was gonna come back and see me with the paper later. He asked me for $2 million. Jimmy [Iovine] like, ‘Ma$e ain’t worth $2 million with $2 million in his pocket.’ Jimmy like, ‘Look, I wanna see this thing happen. Let’s make this thing happen and I’ll give up my profit.’ I’ve never heard him say that ever. I think [Puff] had an issue with losing Ma$e to me.”
On gay marriage:
“I’m cool. I would like people to actually be happy. Technically I don’t see where it fits into any religion. The Bible that they would read to marry you, it doesn’t have anything in it that says same-sex. If it does, then I would like someone to point out that interpretation. I’ve encouraged same-sex activities. I’ve engaged in fetish areas a couple times. I’m for it. I’m wondering if I’m bad for promoting it when the president says it’s fine.”
