It’s been confirmed by Vibe.com that Andre 3000, 1/2 of the group, Outkast, will play the legendary Jimi Hendrix in a biopic of his life. The film entitled “All Is By My Side”, will chronicle Hendrix’s career in the 1960s while he was in England and preparing for the release of his debut album, “Are You Experienced”. The film is scheduled to begin shooting later this month in Ireland.

This won’t be the first time we’ve seen Andre 3000 showcase his acting talent, as he’s graced the big screen in movies such as “Four Brothers” and “Idlewild” and he’s even been featured on a few television commercials. Talk about multi-talented. I predict that he’ll do amazing in this film!
