Well isn’t this sweet! Beyonce posted a letter on her Tumblr page this morning honoring First Lady Michelle Obama.
In the letter, she thanks the First Lady for being such a great inspiration to her and being someone who her daughter, Blue Ivy, can look up to.
Bey and the First Lady have been friends for quite sometime now. They met when Beyonce sang “At Last” at the Presidential Inaugural ball when President Obama first took office. Since then, Beyonce has been an active participant in the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” campaign to encourage the healthy lifestyle among youth in America.
Beyonce and her family have even donated a significant amount of money to the First Lady during her recent presidential fundraiser that took place in New York City. Now, Queen Bey is sharing her respect for Michelle Obama with her BeyHive (as she calls her fans on her Tumblr page) with this beautiful and heartfelt letter.
It must be nice to be on a first name basis with the First Lady! I’m sure these two powerhouses are a sight to see together!
