Melanie Fiona is gearing up for the release of her sophomore project, “The MF Life”. In preparation of her album release, she’s just dropped another new single from the project entitled, “I Been That Girl”, which was co-written by her fellow Toronto homeboy, Drake.
Drizzy isn’t the only contributor to Melanie’s new album. J.Cole, Nas, B.O.B and John Legend also add their talents to “The MF Life” which is set to be released on March 20.
In an interview with NecoleBitchie.com, Melanie explained the meaning being the album title, “The MF Life”. She explained, “The MF Life is all about finding that balance. Sometimes life is Magnificent/Fantastic, sometimes life is a Mother F-cker. It’s Music For Life. It’s Melanie Fiona…It’s all these puns. It’s about the ups and downs. Life is never the same all the time. You may be down right now, you may be on top of the world, but you’re not going to stay in that place forever. So just live your MF Life. Live on purpose”. She also previously dropped the track, “Rock, Paper, Scissors”, which is a hit, so I’m sure that this new track “I Been That Girl” will not disappoint.
Take a listen to the new track below. Are we feeling it?
