Serena Williams just grabbed her very first Singles Competition gold medal of her tennis career!

After beating Russian competitor, Maria Sharapova in every set, Serena took home the gold, and payed homage to her hometown in California by hitting the Crip walk to celebrate her big victory. Sister Venus was on deck in the audience to cheer her on.

Serena isn’t done yet, she’s still competing in the doubles competition alongside her sister, Venus, later in the competition.

Serena is the first woman to win all four Grand Slams and earn a gold medal in both the single and double tennis competition. Way to go! #TEAMUSA
