Lola Brooke, NYC Celebrity Restaurant Sei Less and Hip-Hop Artist Bleezy Serve Thanksgiving Dinner At Children of Promise In Brooklyn

On Monday evening (11/20), hip-hop artist Lola Brooke, NYC celebrity restaurant Sei Less and hip-hop artist Bleezy partnered to host and serve Thanksgiving dinner at Children of Promise in Brooklyn on Monday evening to 150-200 youth (ages 6-18) whose parents have been impacted by the criminal justice system.

Lola and Sei Less co-owner Dara Mirjahangiry served up a wide range of dishes from Sei Less, the Asian Fusion restaurant that opened in January 2022 and has quickly turned into a destination venue for the biggest names in music, sports, entertainment such as Cardi B, Kevin Hart, Mark Wahlberg, Travis Scott, Ice Spice, Kevin Durant and many more.

For background, Children of Promise is a community-centered organization that partners with children and families impacted by mass incarceration to dismantle the stigma and heal from the trauma plaguing Black and Brown communities. They are the only agency in NYC that seamlessly provides access to therapeutic empowerment services and youth development all under one roof.

Aside from serving food, Lola mingled with the kids, watched them break out into a dance contest, took some questions from the youth. Additionally, she spoke about dealing with her father’s incarceration and provided words of wisdom to the youth with her mother by her side.
