Young Thug & Gunna Collaboration Leaks Amid Tensions Over Snitching Rumors

A previously unreleased Young Thug and Gunna track titled “I Went From,” dating back to 2020, has leaked online. The song, in which the rappers reflect on their rise from humble beginnings to Billboard success, surfaces amid ongoing rumors of tension between the two over Gunna’s plea deal in the YSL RICO case.

Speculation of a feud grew after Young Thug’s verse on Lil Baby’s “Dum, Dumb, And Dumber,” where he raps, “Never associate with a rat,” sparked fan theories of a diss aimed at Gunna. Though Thug didn’t name anyone explicitly, fans interpreted the line as a response to Gunna’s plea deal and its implications.

Gunna’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, recently defended his client, stating that Gunna’s Alford plea in December 2022 did not harm Thug’s case or involve cooperation. Sadow clarified Gunna’s plea resulted in a suspended sentence with no probation or restrictions and emphasized that Gunna was not named as a witness in Thug’s trial.

The leak of “I Went From” has reignited conversations about their once-close bond and the fallout from the RICO case. While Young Thug remains on probation after serving 30 months in jail, Gunna continues to achieve global recognition and success. Whether this collaboration signals a resolution or remains a relic of their past camaraderie remains to be seen.
