6ix9ine has finally broken his silence on why federal IRS agents raided his home and seized his valuable possessions, including jewelry, luxury cars, and designer bags.

Taking to Instagram, the rapper explained that the raid happened while he was stuck in the Dominican Republic for eight months, and it stemmed from four years of unpaid taxes.

“1 year ago when I was stuck in RD [Dominican Republic] 8 months, the feds made a raid for the entire house because I did not report my income for 4 years,” he wrote in an Instagram Story. “And for them, it was seen how I was running and hiding in DR. When the reality was that I could not leave and get to the USA.”

The IRS has since auctioned off some of his belongings, including his Bentley and Lamborghini Urus. However, his financial troubles don’t end there. 6ix9ine is also facing a $9.8 million judgment from a 2023 assault lawsuit, further complicating his legal situation.

In an attempt to counter his losses, the rapper recently filed a $1 million lawsuit against Planet Fitness, claiming they failed to provide adequate security during the infamous 2023 attack where he was brutally beaten inside one of their gyms.

Despite these mounting legal battles, 6ix9ine has hinted at continuing his music career, though his ongoing legal troubles could make that difficult.
