Keke Palmer is ready to laugh about the viral Las Vegas concert moment with Usher that caused a stir in 2023. The actress and singer recently opened up about the incident on her Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast, acknowledging the drama it sparked in her previous relationship.

“We caused some ruckus in my relationship,” Palmer admitted, coyly referencing the controversy after Usher serenaded her onstage. Her then-boyfriend, Darius Jackson, had criticized her outfit—an all-black bodysuit and sheer dress—leading to public backlash and their eventual split.

During their conversation, Usher playfully deflected any blame, saying, “Did I have anything to do with what was going on in your home? I am not here to break up your home. I am here to entertain you, my love.” Palmer quipped back, “This is what you call Usher usher-ing.”

Reflecting on the social media frenzy, Usher praised Palmer’s performance and joked about the rumors surrounding the moment, adding, “I was like, ‘Oooh, Keke, come here, girl.’” Palmer also laughed off any suggestion that Usher caused the breakup, emphasizing, “No guys, it’s not Usher.”

Despite the drama, the duo’s friendship has only grown stronger, with Palmer later starring in Usher’s “Boyfriend” music video. Usher shared that he saw the viral moment as an opportunity to “shine a little bit of fun on it,” offering a lighthearted take on the situation.
