Yung Joc is grieving the heartbreaking loss of three young children—his niece and nephews—who tragically passed away after a fire broke out at the Country Oaks Apartments in Atlanta. Speaking on social media and radio, the rapper shared the emotional toll the loss has taken on him and his family.

“I can’t stress more and take over if you just joined us this morning,” Yung Joc began, recounting the devastation. “The three lives lost in the apartment fire… were my brother’s family, their kids.” He emphasized that he had intentionally stayed silent to avoid overshadowing the tragedy, but as a human, he felt compelled to speak out about his family’s pain.

The victims, Jhacari White, 4, Xyla White, 1, and Xhalia White, 9 months, all died from smoke inhalation following the fire. Their father had rushed to rescue them before emergency responders arrived. The children were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital but sadly could not be revived.

Yung Joc also attended a candlelight vigil in honor of the children, noting that it was particularly poignant as it coincided with the middle child’s birthday. He expressed how deeply affected his family was, stating, “My family’s hurting, my brother’s hurting. His girlfriend’s hurting.”

While still processing the tragedy, Joc shared his sadness with listeners and urged the public to understand the weight of the situation. “I’m trying to be professional as I can, but I’m hurt. I’m human,” he said.
