The entertainment district of Memphis was rocked by the tragic shooting death of 27-year-old rapper Latorian Hunt, known by his stage name Sayso P, on Saturday afternoon. Sources confirmed that Hunt, originally from Raleigh, was gunned down outside the Westin Hotel, an incident that sent shockwaves through the local community.

Hunt, an up-and-coming rap artist, had recently signed to a record label alongside Houston rapper Albert Walker Mondane, better known as Sauce Walka. Mondane, who was also at the scene, survived the attack, though he was shot once in the leg.

According to Memphis Police, the shooting was a “targeted incident” and not a random act of violence. Witnesses reported that the gunman shot Hunt multiple times, while Mondane was injured by a single gunshot.
