On Tuesday, April 1, Blanco took to Instagram Live to share her version of the events that led to the tragic death of Scooter on March 28. Her account significantly differs from what she previously told 911 dispatchers on the day of the incident. In her live video, Blanco claimed she was the victim of physical abuse and called emergency services to protect herself, stating, “I was physically abused. So, I called to protect myself. I never had any intentions to get anybody hurt.”

Blanco had made an anonymous call to 911 on the night of March 28, reporting gunshots and a bloody woman being assaulted at a home on William Nye Drive in Atlanta. When law enforcement arrived, they found Scooter and another man fleeing the scene. During the pursuit, Scooter injured himself on a fence, resulting in fatal blood loss. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death an accident on Tuesday.

As of now, it remains unclear if the authorities were able to confirm any criminal activity at the residence. Blanco’s statement raises more questions, leaving the community eager for further clarification regarding the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
