Actress Meagan Good is speaking candidly about the emotional toll of her 2022 divorce from producer and pastor DeVon Franklin. In a preview from an upcoming episode of The Jason Lee Show on Zeus Network, Good reveals that it was Franklin who made the decision to end their decade-long marriage.

“What I can say is, it’s not that anybody did anything wrong,” Good shared during the interview. “I can’t say that he fked that up and I can’t say that I fked that up. We grew from it.”

The Harlem actress emphasized that, despite the heartbreak, she holds no bitterness over how things unfolded. “I don’t think that any time was wasted. I think that everything in life, every single season, you do learn so much, and you do grow so much, and you give so much, and you do get so much,” she added.

Good also explained that the experience shifted her mindset and helped her approach life with a new level of intentionality. “It’s my conscious mind in every single season to choose what best serves my quality of life and best serves the other person’s quality of life,” she said.

Good and Franklin met on the set of Jumping the Broom in 2011 and married the following year. The couple’s separation in 2022 shocked fans, and according to Good, it left a deep emotional impact.

“My divorce shook me to my core,” she previously told Shannon Sharpe in a Club Shay Shay interview. “Lord, you asked me to be celibate, and I was; you told me to marry, and I married that person. I tried to do everything to the best of my ability, and no, I didn’t do everything perfect, but I don’t know if I could do anything differently if I’m being honest.”

Now, just over two years later, Good has entered a new chapter. In March, she tied the knot with actor Jonathan Majors in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, marking a new beginning after years of personal growth and reflection.

While she continues to navigate life’s twists and turns, Good’s openness about her past shows she’s not only healing—but evolving.
