B Scott Talks Lena Waithe, Scott Mills And Being The First Trans Non Binary To Executive Produce/Host On BET
B.Scott may be the ‘Queen of Tea,’ but they are also the ‘Queen of First,’ when it comes to making history within the African American and LGBTQ+ community.
If you aren’t aware here is a small list of the Media personality’s, groundbreaking accomplishments:
1. First Black trans non-binary YouTube celebrity
2. First trans non-binary person to have a prominent Black media site.
3. First Black trans non-binary person to appear on ‘Extra,’ TV ONE Access, BET’s 106 & Park & Rip The Runway and the list continues.
In addition to all these achievements and paving the way for younger generations, this year B.Scott announced that they would be the new host of BET’s Twenties After-show, making them the first trans non-binary to executive produce and host on BET Network.
In this recent interview with IOE correspondent Shaysayss, B. Scott discusses their friendship with Lena Waithe, working with BET’s president Scott Mills, and finally being seen in an industry that they felt took so long to fully accept them.
