Blueface Ordered to Pay Soulja Boy’s Girlfriend Over $123K in Defamation Lawsuit

Blueface has suffered a costly legal setback after failing to respond to a defamation lawsuit filed by Jackilyn Martinez, Soulja Boy’s girlfriend. The Los Angeles Superior Court has awarded Jackilyn $123,243.10 in damages following a hearing on April 1, 2024. While Jackilyn’s lawsuit initially sought $10 million in damages, the judgment includes $100,000 in non-economic damages, $18,000 in special damages, $3,070 in attorney’s fees, and $2,173 in court costs. The judge, however, declined to award punitive damages.

The lawsuit stems from a series of explosive tweets Blueface posted in December 2023 during a public spat with Soulja Boy. In the tweets, Blueface claimed to have slept with Jackilyn the day before her baby shower in March 2022, an event Soulja Boy attended. He wrote, “I hit Soulja [baby momma] day before her baby shower and he payed [sic] for it,” and later added, “Till Soulja get a DNA test that’s my child lil bro I’m the daddy now.”

Jackilyn quickly fired back with a defamation lawsuit, stating that she had only had a single, protected sexual encounter with Blueface in 2018—years before her child with Soulja Boy was conceived—and had no contact with him since. She also confirmed that DNA testing had established Soulja Boy as the biological father of her child. “I did not engage in any sexual activity with [Blueface] the day before my baby shower, or while I was pregnant,” Jackilyn asserted in her sworn statement.

Despite receiving a cease-and-desist letter from Jackilyn’s legal team in December, Blueface refused to remove the posts and continued to mock the situation online. Jackilyn claimed the harassment led to severe emotional distress, including anxiety, panic attacks, and even death threats from followers. She filed a police report after receiving one chilling message that read, “we gun in u down.”

Blueface, who did not respond to the lawsuit or appear in court, is currently serving a four-year sentence for a separate probation violation. While a photo of him smiling behind bars recently surfaced, his legal troubles continue to grow. Meanwhile, Soulja Boy is also entangled in his own legal battles, including a separate assault and false imprisonment lawsuit.

This ruling adds yet another layer to Blueface’s mounting legal issues and serves as a stern reminder that social media recklessness can have significant financial and emotional consequences.
