Cassie to Testify in Diddy’s Upcoming Trial, Revealing Her Identity

Cassie, the woman known as “Victim 1” in the ongoing case against Sean “Diddy” Combs, plans to testify during his upcoming trial, and TMZ has confirmed that she will do so under her real name. This marks a significant development as Cassie, unlike the three other alleged victims seeking to keep their identities anonymous, has decided to publicly face her accuser.

The trial will see Diddy defending himself against serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution. While prosecutors have allowed the three other victims to remain anonymous for their protection, Cassie’s identity has already been revealed, largely due to the public reference to a hotel beating video mentioned in the indictment—a video first reported by CNN before being reportedly destroyed.

Diddy’s legal team was informed of the anonymous victims’ identities just last month, after prosecutors handed over the names of the women who will remain pseudonymous during the trial. These measures aim to prevent potential harassment or harm to the alleged victims.

The charges against Diddy, which stem from an investigation that began with raids of his Los Angeles and Miami properties by federal agents in September 2024, have shaken the hip-hop mogul’s empire. Currently imprisoned at MDC Brooklyn, Diddy is awaiting the trial, set to begin on May 5. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies any wrongdoing.

The trial comes after Cassie’s lawsuit in November 2023, where she accused Diddy of rape, abuse, and human trafficking. The case was settled quickly, but it sparked a wave of similar lawsuits from other women, intensifying the scrutiny surrounding Diddy’s personal and professional life.
