Diddy Rejects Plea Deal, Denies Sex Offense Allegations by Framing Himself as a Swinger Ahead of Upcoming Trial

During a tense court session, hip-hop mogul Diddy (Sean Combs) firmly denied accusations of sex offenses, instead asserting that his actions stemmed from a consensual lifestyle rooted in swinging. Rejecting a plea deal offered by prosecutors, Diddy now faces a high-stakes trial where he will battle serious charges of sex trafficking.

Presided over by Judge Arun Subramanian, the hearing focused on ensuring Diddy fully understood the terms of the undisclosed plea agreement. Additional discussions regarding the deal are set for May 1, but Diddy’s legal team, led by attorney Marc Agnifilo, has not provided a public explanation for their decision to decline the offer. Agnifilo defended Diddy’s conduct in court, arguing that the swinger lifestyle has been “widely accepted” by a significant portion of society and that Diddy believed his actions fell within accepted social norms.

The prosecution, pushing forward with its case, requested that an alleged victim be allowed to testify about a medical procedure related to the trafficking charges. The judge has yet to rule on the admissibility of that testimony.

In a major development, the prosecution also moved to introduce a sex tape allegedly featuring Diddy as evidence, stressing that the footage should remain shielded from public release due to its sensitive nature. Further damaging Diddy’s defense, the judge agreed to admit hotel security footage that reportedly shows Diddy assaulting singer Cassie in a hallway—an incident for which Diddy had previously expressed regret. Despite Diddy’s legal team’s efforts to challenge the video’s authenticity, it will now form part of the trial evidence.

The trial is set to begin on May 12 and will be open to the public, though it will not be broadcast live. As Diddy fights to salvage his career and reputation, the proceedings promise to be a defining moment in the music icon’s life, with the weight of the accusations casting a long shadow over his legacy.
