In a shocking turn of events, five individuals, including Matthew Perry’s personal assistant and two doctors, have been arrested and charged in connection with the Friends actor’s tragic death. Perry, who passed away at his Los Angeles home in October 2023, had openly struggled with addiction issues. His death was initially believed to be an accidental drowning, but a deeper investigation has revealed disturbing details involving illegal drug activities.

According to U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada, the two doctors involved are accused of supplying Perry with a large quantity of ketamine, a powerful anesthetic and hallucinogenic drug often misused recreationally. Estrada stated that these medical professionals “took advantage of Mr. Perry’s addiction issues to enrich themselves.” Perry had been undergoing ketamine infusion therapy to manage anxiety and depression, but the Los Angeles medical examiner’s autopsy report showed that the levels of ketamine in his bloodstream far exceeded what would be expected from legitimate therapy.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) launched a joint criminal investigation earlier this year, focusing on how Perry obtained the medication and why he had such a dangerously high amount of the drug in his system. The arrests mark a critical development in the case, shedding light on the potential exploitation of Perry’s vulnerabilities by those he trusted.

As the legal process unfolds, these revelations have intensified the public’s scrutiny of the people close to Perry and the medical practices that may have contributed to his untimely death.
