Can you describe your creative process when working with a celebrity client, and how do you tailor your approach to their unique features and personality? Normally whenever working with a celebrity client, understanding their genre, unique style, preferences, and personality is key. I begin by researching their past looks and understanding their comfort zone. Then, I collaborate closely with the client and their team, discussing ideas, exploring different concepts, and adapting my approach to complement their features and character. It’s crucial to listen attentively to their input while also offering creative suggestions that align with their mission, brand, and especially their style.

What are some of the biggest challenges you face when working with high-profile clients, and how do you overcome them? One of the things that I experience when dealing with high-profile clients is that they assume that I know how they work or they might expect me to offer my services for free. Both are very easy to overcome. I have my contracts in place I send invoices, and that sets the tone for what to expect from me.

How do you ensure that your makeup designs are long-lasting and camera-ready for red-carpet events and photoshoots? Primer is a girl’s best friend. As long as you have a good foundation under the Makeup, everything else will stay in place and I always finish it off with a good setting powder.

How do you manage your time and workflow when working with multiple clients or on a tight schedule? From experience, I know that if I’m doing an event with more than one client, I can’t take on too many clients that are outside of the show because I have to take my time with each one while sticking to a certain timeframe. If they are exclusive clients that I travel to, it’s a bit easier to determine travel time between my next appointments.

How do you handle difficult or demanding clients, and what strategies do you use to maintain a positive working relationship with them? Having boundaries is always key and never deviate from them. Everyone has their likes and dislikes as long as we can communicate effectively there’s nothing too hard to overcome.

What advice would you give to aspiring makeup artists who are looking to break into the celebrity industry? Never stop learning and mastering your craft. I would highly recommend mentorship and last but not least, networking at events like IMATS The Makeup Show, and Culture Con.

Can you share some of your favorite products or tools that you use regularly, and why do you prefer them? My favorite product is Kat Von non-transferable peptide-infused foundation it’s long-lasting. Tacha Skincare, Fenty Pro filter concealer, The Lip Bar liquid matte lipsticks (Vegan) Better than sex mascara by to face. Mac Strobe cream and Mineralize powder in all shades.Doir Forever Natural Bronzer and Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush flawless setting spray.

Finally, what are your future goals and aspirations as a celebrity makeup artist, and what projects or collaborations are you currently working on? One of my future goals is to become a liaison to up-and-coming makeup artists and wellness coaches who want to learn and grow as I did and have a team with whom I can delegate projects to a base where I can teach and grow in other ways.
