In the ongoing legal battle between NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe and his accuser, Gabriella Zuniga, new developments have emerged. Zuniga has released text messages and audio recordings that she claims support her allegations of sexual assault against Sharpe.

The text messages, reportedly exchanged in January 2025, show Zuniga confronting Sharpe about an alleged assault. In one message, she writes, “out | cred when u left because | begged you to put a condom on and not put it in my ass
and u didn’t listen. I don’t care what our history is, no means no shannon.” Sharpe’s response, “Can I a call You Later”

In addition to the texts, Zuniga’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, has released another audio recording in which a voice, purportedly Sharpe’s, is heard making threatening remarks. In the recording, the male voice says, “I might choke you in public. Big black guys chokes small white woman” The female voice responds, “Thats not a good look Shannon,” to which the male voice replies, “It’s not a good look that you do the shit that you did to me”

The lawsuit, filed by Zuniga under the pseudonym “Jane Doe,” accuses Sharpe of multiple instances of sexual assault during their nearly two-year relationship. She is seeking $50 million in damages. Sharpe has denied all allegations, labeling the lawsuit a “shakedown” and asserting that the accusations are part of an orchestrated effort to defame him .

As the case progresses, both parties have indicated intentions to pursue further legal action. Sharpe plans to countersue for defamation, while Zuniga’s legal team has stated that more evidence will be presented in court.
