‘Girls Trip 2’ Is Happening! Director Will Packer Confirms Script Is Ready

Director Will Packer recently dropped some exciting news during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen — Girls Trip 2 is officially happening, and the script is ready! During a live call-in segment, a viewer asked Packer about the potential sequel and if it would take place at the Afro Future Festival in Ghana.
Packer teased, “Girls Trip 2… first of all, you think we should do it? You think I should do two?” He went on to reveal that while they are eyeing an “exotic locale” for the sequel, he couldn’t give specifics just yet. However, he made one thing clear: Girls Trip 2 is happening, with all the original ladies returning. “I do have a script for the first time, Andy,” Packer confirmed, adding that they might introduce some new faces to the cast as well.
Packer also hinted that he’s keeping a close eye on Real Housewives of Atlanta for potential new talent, saying, “I’m watching this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta very closely.”
Fans of the 2017 hit can now rejoice knowing the long-awaited sequel is on its way, with plenty of laughs and drama in store.
