Halle Berry is taking a stand against the critics who have questioned her ability to maintain a relationship. During a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, the Oscar-winning actress addressed the persistent rumors about her love life, particularly the idea that she “can’t keep a man.”

“I’ve heard people say, ‘Something must be wrong with Halle Berry. She can’t keep a man.’ Who’s to say I wanna keep a man?” Berry told Drew Barrymore when the topic arose. “I don’t wanna keep the wrong man. Like, I’m not crazy, right?”

She continued to explain her perspective on relationships, emphasizing the importance of self-awareness and growth: “So when you find that you make a mistake—we all make mistakes. We have a right to say, ‘Oh God, this was a mistake. Let me start again.’ We have a right to do that.”

Berry, who has been married three times, also shared insights into her new project—a platform called Respin, which focuses on supporting women through their health and wellness journeys during menopause. The 58-year-old actress revealed how her own experiences with perimenopause were misdiagnosed as a “really bad case of herpes” by her doctor, underscoring the need for accurate information and community support.

In addition to discussing her dating life and health initiatives, Berry reflected on her personal journey with love. She has previously been married to former MLB player David Justice, R&B singer Eric Benét, and French actor Olivier Martinez. Berry is also the mother of two children: Nahla Aubry, born in 2008 with ex-partner Gabriel Aubry, and Maceo Martinez, born in 2013 with Olivier Martinez.

Regarding her current relationship with boyfriend Van Hunt, whom she has been dating since 2020, Berry shared in an earlier interview on Today with Jenna & Friends that she “manifested” him after going through three divorces. “I finally knew what wasn’t working, and I realized I was always saying to the universe what I didn’t want,” she explained, adding, “So, I really had to change my thinking and instead of thinking of what I didn’t want, I had to get intentional with what I did want.”
