Meet Amber Le: Media Personality, model, influencer, and Domestic Violence Advocate Amber Le is a notable media personality and advocate for domestic violence. She currently serves as the Sports Editor at We Are Jersey Magazine and heads the public relations department. Amber has worked tirelessly in broadcasting and radio for over a decade with various brands. She took her experience and went on to create her own PR firm, The Beast PR, along with a domestic violence program and a healing platform called “Purple Phases.” The lifestyle brand promotes self-love, women empowerment, and mental health awareness. Though still under construction, it is set to launch in 2023.
Amber is also an executive assistant to Power 105’s DJ Suss One, an event coordinator of The Feature Presentation, and operates her own business. Her drive and determination stem from watching her family struggle to provide for her and from years of bartending. Behind the bar, she worked hard to make ends meet and invest in her business, which ultimately led to the creation of the non-profit organization she dubbed “The Goddess Gang.” Today, Amber is heavily involved in advocating for women’s empowerment and mental health.
Despite starting with dreams of becoming a broadcaster for the NFL Network, Amber’s abusive relationship took a toll on her career while she was climbing the ranks. She was an intern for NFL Radio as a production assistant. During her internship, she faced mental and physical abuse that deeply impacted her perception of her career. Amber believes in connecting with people’s hearts and communicating understanding to them, which is evident in her advocacy work. Amber’s advice to others is to stay focused, work hard, and never let anyone discourage you from achieving your dreams. Here’s the exclusive interview with the rising star.
How did you start your career? I started my career when I was 17 starting out writing for sports blogs and a local magazine, I interned for NFL Radio in my early 20s. I then met DJ Suss One at Power 105 in my mid-20s when I switched gears. I started out as a writer for The Feature Presentation, then became his publicist and event coordinator for Dinner & A Movie, along with helping him run the site. I am now his publicist along with WAJ Magazine, Nerd Focus, and more.
What has been a major influence on your brand? Passion, everything I do derives from my heart and my soul. I always ask myself “What’s the intention” before starting a project or taking on a client?
What are your career aspirations? I would like to have my own network of shows, movies, and entertainment in general that speak positivity and highlight the good in the world. I want to spread love, peace, and grace in every message.
As a woman of influence and a respected business mogul, how do you aspire to assist individuals wanting to get into your field? I’m a domestic violence survivor and through my advocacy, I found it important to be heard. Intimate conversations of women sharing their stories of struggle and success feed your soul. It’s always a heartwarming and bonding moment. You never know who you can inspire with your story. I am always having conversations with women who want to “live their best life” after leaving a toxic relationship and want to get back on their feet, reclaim their power and independence, and start making new memories and accolades for themselves.
Describe your greatest strengths in your career. My greatest strength would be my transparency. I don’t hide flaws or hiccups, I am a very straightforward person and I use my story to motivate others. With that transparency comes confidence and the ability to believe in yourself even on the worst days.
How important is it to make a difference? Very important. If God is blessing you with all these amazing opportunities, it is only right that you give back to the community whether it’s through charity, raising awareness on specific topics or acts of kindness. Just be a good person without expecting a cookie because that is the least you can do.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with us? There’s a lot of events and content coming up soon and although I can’t share them at this very moment, I can’t wait for everyone to see my growth and witness this journey of mine.
