Ja Rule Responds to 50 Cent’s Mockery Of Irv Gotti’s Death: “I Was Ready to Go Nuclear”

Ja Rule recently stopped by The Breakfast Club to promote his new rye whiskey brand, Amber & Opal, but the conversation quickly took an emotional turn as he addressed the passing of his longtime friend and Murder Inc. co-founder, Irv Gotti. Gotti died in February at the age of 54.
Reflecting on the loss, Ja Rule shared how deeply it affected him — and how 50 Cent’s mocking social media post in the wake of Gotti’s death almost pushed him over the edge. “Nobody likes goofy sht,” he said bluntly. “But it’s goofy sht.”
Rule admitted he was “ready to go nuclear” over the disrespect, but received a call from a voice of wisdom: Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff. “Prem said it best — he told me, ‘Rule, here’s what you got to understand: who we are and what we are. We are masters of self-defense.’ And that hit me.”
“I’m not here to be a bully or bother people,” he added. “But if I have to defend myself, my family, my name — I will end it.”
When asked why his name and 50 Cent’s continue to be linked after all these years, Rule didn’t hold back. “I don’t bring him up per se at all. I think that’s because he’s a troll and he keeps it going. I’ll go to the circus once in a while, you know, but I really like to stay clear of that sh*t.”
Despite the tension, Ja Rule’s focus remains on growth — both personally and professionally — while honoring the legacy of his fallen friend.
