Jay Z Set To Receive 2018 Industry Icon Award at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala

Congrats are in order for rapper and music mogul Jay Z!
The 21-time Grammy award winner will be honored for his contributions to Pop culture at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy gala, where he will receive the 2018 Grammy Salute to Industry Icons award. The exclusive event will take place at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel on January 27, 2018.
Along with Jay Z, Richard Branson, Berry Gordy, Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Debra L. Lee will also be recognized for their legacy and work.
The President/CEO of the Recording Academy, Neil Portnow released a statement:
“Jay-Z also embodies the vibrant spirit of New York City and we couldn’t imagine a more fitting honoree as we return to Manhattan for this year’s Grammy Awards.”
Clive Davis also shared:
“Jay-Z is a quintessential icon and I couldn’t be happier and more excited to share the evening with him. What a night this will be. I remember when I first saw Jay….”
