Judge Grants Young Thug Permission to Use Atlanta Airport Amid Probation Restrictions

Young Thug has been granted permission to use Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for travel, despite strict probation restrictions that initially barred him from the metro area.

A Fulton County judge approved the request after Thug’s legal team argued that air travel was necessary for his business and other lawful purposes. His probation officer supported the request, leading to the judge’s decision on Tuesday.

Under his 15-year sentence, Thug is banned from Atlanta for the first 10 years, except for emergencies, court-mandated service, or approved personal matters. However, in December, his probation terms were modified to allow him to visit his Atlanta home for up to two weeks at a time, four times per year—provided he remains violation-free until 2027.

Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, pleaded guilty as part of a non-negotiated plea deal in the YSL RICO case and was released in October 2024.
