Judge Overturns $100M Default Judgment in Diddy’s Michigan Sexual Assault Case

Published

on

A judge has set aside the $100 million default judgment against Diddy in a Michigan sexual assault lawsuit, ruling that his accuser failed to prove he was properly served with the lawsuit under Michigan law. The accuser, who had initially won the case due to Diddy’s lack of response, could not demonstrate that the lawsuit was effectively delivered to him. As a result, the case will now proceed like any other, and Diddy is expected to file a motion to dismiss the lawsuit entirely.

The accuser had alleged that Diddy sexually assaulted her when she was underage during the 1990s. However, Diddy’s team argued that he was not served with the lawsuit in compliance with the state’s legal procedures, leading to the judge overturning the default judgment.
