Kandi Burruss Calls Tamar Braxton A Clown At Circus, Tamar Claps Back Dissing Kandi’s Singing Voice

During a recent interview with ET Online’s Brice Sander, Kandi Burruss opened up about a wide range of topics, from the new cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta to her role in producing Denzel Washington’s Broadway run of Othello. However, it was a particular exchange about her Atlanta soul food restaurant, Old Lady Gang (OLG), and her canceled reality series Kandi & the Gang that quickly turned heated.

Sander asked the 48-year-old entrepreneur if she would ever consider rebooting the show, then playfully wondered whether she’d invite longtime rival Tamar Braxton to appear as a special guest. Kandi wasted no time in responding, making it clear she was not interested in revisiting past drama.

“You will not be bringing her in my interview,” Kandi sharply retorted. “I’m not playing games with clowns. I’m not about to be in the circus with [her]…never again.”

Kandi’s reaction comes after a resurfaced clip of Tamar Braxton slamming Old Lady Gang went viral. In a livestream that Braxton now claims is three years old, the Love & War singer criticized the restaurant, saying, “Nobody has yet to say how nasty Old Lady Gang is. That’s a known thing here in Atlanta. Nobody is saying ‘yo, where we going to eat? Let’s go to Old Lady Gang.’”

Tamar Braxton fired back at Kandi Burruss after the singer-turned-business mogul called her a “clown at the circus” during an interview with ET. Tamar took to her social media, posting and later deleting a clip of Kandi singing for the Real Housewives of Atlanta with a caption that read “🤡 on fire.” The fiery response seemed to be Tamar’s way of throwing some playful shade back at Kandi, likely in reaction to their ongoing back-and-forth. While Tamar deleted the post quickly, it still made waves online, highlighting the tension between the two stars.
