Kanye West Leaves Jay-Z’s Tidal Over $3M Dispute

I guess we no longer need to wonder why Jay Z dissed Kanye West on his 4:44 album. Ye has decided to part ways with Tidal alleging that the company owes him 3 million dollars. Kanye’s lawyer sent a letter to Tidal, saying the company was in breach of contract and will be terminated. Over the last few weeks lawyers for both sides tried to resolve the conflict but that was unsuccessful.
The Life of Pablo album release generated over 1 1/2 million new subscribers for Tidal, which Kanye was owed a bonus but the company hasn’t paid. Kanye also says Tidal was suppose to reimbursing him for music videos but has yet to do so. Tidal claims Kanye didn’t deliver the videos required by the contract. Tidal has fired back with a letter stating that they still have an exclusive contract with the rapper and if he attempts to do business with another streaming company they will sue. Kanye was also unaware that Jay Z would be throwing shots at him on his new album.
