Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has stirred up attention with the release of his new track, Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine, which features his 11-year-old daughter, North, and disgraced rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Despite Kim Kardashian’s efforts to prevent the song’s release, Ye shared the track on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, sparking further controversy.

The song opens with a phone conversation between Ye and Combs. In the recording, Combs expresses gratitude, saying, “I wanna just thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man. Ain’t nobody reach out to them, ain’t nobody call them.” Ye responds, “Absolutely, I love you so much man. You raised me. Even when I ain’t know you, know what I’m saying?” This emotional exchange sets the tone for the track.

North also makes an appearance, rapping a line that reads, “When you see me shining, then you see the light,” showcasing her budding talent.

In addition to releasing the song, Ye shared now-deleted screenshots of a text conversation with Kardashian, where she reveals that she had trademarked North’s name in an attempt to block the release. Kardashian’s legal efforts highlight the ongoing tension between the parents over how their children are involved in Ye’s music projects.

This new track, blending family dynamics with artistic expression, continues to keep Ye in the public eye amid his ongoing controversies.
