Kendrick Lamar Purchases $40 Million Home In Los Angeles

Kendrick Lamar has made a significant investment with his recent purchase. The Wall Street Journal reports that the Compton-born rapper has acquired a $40 million mansion in Los Angeles’ upscale Brentwood neighborhood.
This exclusive area is known for its celebrity residents, including Reese Witherspoon, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Alessandra Ambrosio, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tom Hanks, Robert Redford, and Michelle Pfeiffer. Drake also mentioned LeBron James’ purchasing habits in Brentwood in his song “Omertà.”
Lamar’s new home spans over 16,000 square feet, marking it as one of the priciest acquisitions in the region in recent years. Notably, his rap rival Drake previously taunted Lamar for living in a “NY apartment” instead of on the West Coast during their Hip Hop Battle Royale. In a now-deleted freestyle titled “Taylor Made Freestyle,” Drake rapped, “Dot, I know you’re in that NY apartment, you strugglin’ right now, I know it/ In the notepad doing lyrical gymnastics, my boy/ You better have a motherf**kin’ quintuple entendre on that s**t/ Some s**t I don’t even understand, like/ That s**t better be crazy, we waitin’ on you.”
