Fans are buzzing after the NFL and Apple Music debuted a Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show commercial featuring Kendrick Lamar, fueling speculation he might perform his Drake diss track, “Not Like Us.” The ad aired during the NFC Championship game between the Eagles and Commanders, with the song’s instrumental playing in the background. Fox broadcaster Kevin Burkhardt hyped the performance, saying, “Catch Kendrick Lamar at the top of his game.”

Social media reactions were immediate, with fans debating whether Lamar will include the Grammy-nominated diss track in his set. “Still don’t think he’ll perform it at the Super Bowl, but IMAGINE,” one user tweeted. Others pointed out Drake’s ongoing lawsuit against Universal Music Group over the promotion of “Not Like Us,” adding more intrigue to the possibility.

The track, which dropped in Summer 2024, emerged from a heated feud between Lamar and Drake, following Drake’s “The Heart Pt. 6.” On “Not Like Us,” Lamar accuses Drake of questionable behavior and claims he’s a “colonizer of Atlanta hip-hop.” The song has since achieved diamond status and remains a hot topic in hip-hop.

Lamar’s Halftime Show will also feature special guest SZA, who appeared on his latest album, GNX, on tracks like “luther” and “gloria.” The duo is set to embark on their Grand National Tour in April. SZA also makes a cameo in the Super Bowl ad, playfully dousing Lamar with a bucket of Gatorade. Whether Lamar will include “Not Like Us” in his set remains a mystery, but fans will surely be watching closely.
