Comedian Kevin Hart has unexpectedly shut down all four of his Hart House vegan fast-food restaurants after just two years in operation. The closures, which took effect on September 10, were confirmed by Hart House CEO Andy Hooper, who expressed gratitude to customers, employees, and community partners for their support. Hooper emphasized the success of the product but did not specify the reasons behind the closures.

Hart House was launched in August 2022 with the promise of providing healthy, sustainable fast food options. Hart described the venture as part of his “flexitarian” lifestyle, offering affordable plant-based meals free of preservatives, artificial ingredients, and harmful additives. The first location opened on the iconic Hollywood Boulevard, followed by branches in Westchester, Monrovia, and University Park, all in the Los Angeles area.

In addition to the official statement, the Hart House Instagram page posted a heartfelt goodbye message, thanking everyone who contributed to the project. The message hinted at a “new chapter,” but no details were provided on what that might entail or whether the restaurants might reopen in the future.

Hart’s decision to create Hart House was a reflection of his commitment to promoting healthy living, both through his personal brand and business ventures. Despite the apparent popularity of the concept and positive reception from the community, the reasons for the sudden closures remain unclear. It has not yet been reported if financial struggles, supply chain issues, or other factors influenced the decision.

Fans and patrons are left wondering what might come next for the comedian-turned-entrepreneur, but for now, it seems Hart House has served its last meal.
