Legendary Actor & Activist Sidney Poitier Passes Away At Age 94
Legendary actor and activist Sidney Poitier has passed away at age 94. The office of the Bahamian Minister of Foreign Affairs confirmed to TMZ of Sidney’s passing. However, the details are unknown at the moment.
Poitier was the first black man to win an Oscar for Best Actor for his starring role in “Lilies of the Field” in 1963.
Poitier was also a civil rights activist. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009 by President Obama for his work.
