LiAngelo Ball Performs Viral Hit “Tweaker” at Lions-Commanders Playoff Game

LiAngelo Ball took center stage at halftime during the Lions-Commanders playoff game in Detroit, performing his viral hit song “Tweaker.” The track, which debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this month, has marked a surprising pivot for Ball as he transitions from basketball to music. Despite his energetic performance, the Lions fell to the underdog Commanders, 45-31.

Fans had mixed reactions to the performance. While some applauded Ball’s journey from adversity to success, others criticized his stage presence, accusing him of lacking authenticity. One fan wrote, “When you act like something you’re not, people see right through it.”

Following the success of “Tweaker,” Ball signed a $13 million deal with Def Jam Recordings. Music has become his primary focus after his professional basketball career didn’t mirror the success of his brothers, Lonzo and LaMelo. Previously, LiAngelo had a brief stint with the Detroit Pistons in 2020 and starred in the Facebook Watch reality show Ball in the Family.

As for the Commanders, their win propels them to the conference championship, where they’ll face the winner of the Eagles-Rams matchup. LiAngelo’s halftime show adds another chapter to his growing career in the music industry.
