LiAngelo Ball Signs Lucrative Deal with Def Jam Following Viral Hit ‘Tweaker’
LiAngelo Ball, known for his basketball lineage, has transitioned into the music industry by signing a significant deal with Def Jam Recordings and Universal Music Group. This move follows the viral success of his debut single, “Tweaker,” released on January 3, 2025, which has garnered millions of views and streams across various platforms.
The contract is reported to be worth up to $13 million, with $8 million guaranteed. Notably, Ball retains full ownership of his music and his record label, Born2Ball Music Group.
“Tweaker” has received endorsements from prominent artists, including Meek Mill, Lil Yachty, and T-Pain, and has achieved significant streaming milestones, such as reaching #4 on the US Spotify Chart with over 1.4 million streams domestically.
In addition to his recording success, Ball is scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud California in March, marking his debut at a major music festival.
