LIL KIM Blast Ebony Magazine After Getting ‘Clowned’ For ‘Cheesy’ Cover

Lil Kim, a true hip-hop icon, was chosen as one of the legends to grace Ebony magazine’s cover in celebration of the culture’s 50th anniversary.

However, it seems like not everyone was thrilled with how the cover turned out.

Fans expressed their concerns about Kim’s front-page appearance, pointing out its unusual cutout-like style and the NFT-like glow. Keith Major, a renowned photographer who served as the Director of Photography for the project, couldn’t sit by while his work was criticized.

He clarified in The Shade Room that Kim had the final say on the cover’s retouching, saying, “Man, she wanted to be in control of the retouching so this is what we got.”

Lil Kim decided to address things via her Instagram stories,

“Who is this?! Cuz that’s not the photo I approved or any other content they’ve put out. I always told Ebony it looked like a painting but they didn’t wanna listen. They said they loved it. It’s the sabotage for me. The funny shit about this, is that this is THEIR retoucher!”
