Memphis Police have called off their pursuit of Jayden Dandridge, the 21-year-old man they previously identified as a suspect in the shooting that killed rapper Sayso P and injured Sauce Walka. Authorities announced Monday that Dandridge was found dead in Houston, Texas, on March 27.

Dandridge was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds inside an abandoned building. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Science has ruled his death a homicide. Houston Police have not made any arrests, and the motive behind the killing remains unclear.

Earlier this week, Memphis Police released video footage showing Dandridge in a stolen 2021 Dodge Charger 392 Scat Pack, the vehicle linked to the crime. A warrant for his arrest, issued last Wednesday, is now void due to his death.

Now, authorities are shifting their focus to 22-year-old Kevin Brown, who faces similar charges: first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and property theft. Police are actively searching for Brown and are offering a $6K reward for information leading to his arrest. Tipsters can call the Memphis Police Hotline at 901-528-CASH.

Sauce Walka, who was wounded in the shooting, has been recovering but is still grieving the loss of his friend, Sayso P, and dealing with the aftermath of the attack.
