Mustard Breaks Silence with Debut Rap Track “Pray For Me” Ahead of New Album Release

Mustard, the renowned Cali beatmaker, is set to unveil his highly anticipated album Faith of a Mustard Seed later this month, featuring a deeply personal track where he steps into the spotlight as a rapper for the first time.
Titled “Pray For Me,” the song delves into Mustard’s reflections on family, friends, and personal experiences, offering listeners an intimate glimpse into his life. Explaining his decision to rap on the track, Mustard shared with XXL, “I always used to say I would never rap on a song. I feel like people have never heard my side of any story.”
The album, slated for release on July 26 via BMG, derives its title from a suggestion by the late Nipsey Hussle, reflecting Mustard’s deep respect and connection to his roots in the West Coast music scene.
Stay tuned for more from Mustard as he continues to push the boundaries of creativity with his forthcoming project.
