Nicki Minaj Accused of Assaulting Former Manager In Lawsuit Over 2024 Tour Incident

Nicki Minaj is facing a lawsuit after a former day-to-day manager, Brandon Garrett, claims the rapper physically assaulted him during her 2024 tour. According to the lawsuit, filed by attorney Thomas Feher and obtained by TMZ, the incident occurred after Minaj’s April concert in Detroit.
Garrett, who was managing Minaj during the tour, alleges that after completing an errand for the rapper, he was summoned to her dressing room. Inside, Minaj reportedly began questioning her team about their roles and responsibilities. Tensions escalated when Garrett was accused of sending someone else to pick up one of Minaj’s prescriptions.
In the suit, Garrett describes Minaj as becoming enraged, shouting, “Are you fing crazy having him pick up my prescription? You have lost your fing mind and if my husband were here, he would knock out your fing teeth. You’re a dead man walking. You just fed up your whole life and you will never be anyone, I’ll make sure of it.”
The confrontation reportedly grew physical when Minaj slapped Garrett across the face. Garrett claims the force of the slap caused his head to snap back, knocking off his hat. According to the lawsuit, Minaj’s security team then surrounded Garrett, and she allegedly struck him again, this time hitting his right wrist and causing documents he was holding to fall to the floor.
Garrett claims Minaj then ordered him to leave, and he fled the room, grabbing his hat before locking himself in a restroom at Little Caesars Arena. He says he stayed locked inside for hours, fearing for his safety, and later called his fiancée to explain the situation.
The lawsuit further alleges that Minaj’s team prevented Garrett from boarding the tour bus back to the group’s base in Chicago, effectively leaving him stranded in Detroit. As a result, Garrett is suing Minaj for assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, seeking damages for the alleged physical and emotional harm he endured during the incident.
This lawsuit adds to the ongoing legal challenges faced by Minaj, whose larger-than-life persona has often been accompanied by controversies and disputes. While the rapper has not yet publicly commented on the lawsuit, the claims made by Garrett are sure to attract attention as the case unfolds.
