Pharrell Williams Cancels ‘Something in the Water’ Festival Hours After Ticket Go On Sale
Pharrell Williams has postponed his Something in the Water festival, just hours after tickets went on sale for the event originally scheduled for October 2024. The festival, set to take place in Virginia Beach, will now occur in April 2025. Pharrell cited the need for more preparation to meet the high standards expected by his home state, stating, “Virginia doesn’t deserve better, Virginia deserves THE BEST.”
Fans, many of whom had already purchased tickets, were disappointed by the sudden announcement. However, they will receive full refunds and priority access for the rescheduled event. Pharrell has a strong connection to his home state, but the festival has faced recent challenges, including weather disruptions and the temporary 2021 move to Washington, D.C., following tensions with Virginia Beach officials after the death of Pharrell’s cousin in a police incident.
