Award-winning actress Regina Hall is returning to her alma mater, Fordham University, as the keynote speaker for the Class of 2025’s commencement ceremony on May 17. In recognition of her exceptional career and commitment to using her platform for good, Hall will also be awarded an honorary doctorate of fine arts at the event.

Fordham President Tania Tetlow expressed her excitement, praising Hall as a “remarkable talent” and a “strong work ethic” that make her the ideal choice to inspire the graduates. “Regina is an inspiring role model who will show our graduates what it looks like to live out our Jesuit values,” said Tetlow.

Hall, known for her acting and advocacy, has long been committed to social justice. Her work with organizations such as the American Red Cross, Ronald McDonald House, and Habitat for Humanity, along with her advocacy for scleroderma research following her mother’s diagnosis with the rare autoimmune disorder, reflects her dedication to making a positive impact.

Tetlow added, “Regina’s dedication to advocacy embodies the principles we hold dear at Fordham. We can’t wait to welcome her back to campus.”
