Shaggy Said Not Seeing Bob Marley’s Biopic is “The Most UN-Jamaican Thing You Can Do”

Bob Marley’s biopic is blowing up the screens, and even though some folks are talking smack about it, Shaggy’s laying down the law. According to him, if you’re from Jamaica and you ain’t supporting this flick, you’re straight-up un-Jamaican!

TMZ Hip Hop caught Shaggy at the Island Music Conference in Kingston, and he ain’t holding back. He’s all about backing the film, even though it’s been catching some flak for speeding through Bob’s life. But check it, Shaggy’s been there, done that, even hitting up the ‘One Love’ premiere in L.A. alongside some big names like Brad Pitt and Stevie Wonder.

Now, there’s been some heat about the lead actor, Kingsley Ben-Adir, not nailing that Jamaican vibe. Dude’s British, so he had to put in work to get that accent down. But Shaggy’s got his back, giving props for keeping it real despite not being a yardie himself. Yeah, maybe it ain’t perfect, but it’s all good in Shaggy’s book.

And yo, if this movie blows up, the Marley fam could be swimming in cash. Shaggy’s banking on that, so he’s saying, “Don’t sleep on this, y’all!” It’s time to show some love and respect to the legend.
