The woman accusing Shannon Sharpe of sexual assault has now released audio that she claims supports her case — and it’s sending shockwaves across the sports and media world.

In a 1 minute and 36 second audio clip obtained and released by attorney Tony Buzbee to TMZ Sports, a man — alleged to be the Pro Football Hall of Famer and current ESPN personality — can be heard angrily telling the woman, “I’m going to f**ing choke the sht out of you.”

The audio, which Buzbee says was recorded toward the end of the relationship between Jane Doe and Sharpe, captures an intense argument between the two. At one point, the woman is heard telling the man, “Don’t manipulate me,” to which he responds with the now-viral threat.

The release of the recording comes in the wake of a civil lawsuit filed by Doe, alleging sexual assault and a pattern of emotional abuse. Her legal team claims the recording is part of a broader picture of the relationship that involved coercion, manipulation, and intimidation.

Shannon Sharpe and his attorney, Lanny J. Davis, says they will address the audio later Tuesday.

Sharpe will make a statement on his Instagram page and Davis said he’d then follow that up with his own conference call a short time later.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, known for representing multiple clients in high-profile cases, says more evidence will be revealed as the legal process unfolds. “This is just the beginning,” he told reporters. “We are committed to seeking justice.”

Stay tuned for updates as the situation unfolds.
