Former NFL star and sports commentator Shannon Sharpe is facing a $50 million lawsuit filed by a woman identified as Jane Doe, who accuses him of multiple instances of sexual assault and battery. The civil complaint, filed in Nevada state court, alleges that Sharpe engaged in a pattern of abusive behavior during their nearly two-year relationship.

According to the lawsuit, the relationship began in 2023 when the plaintiff was 20 years old, and Sharpe was in his mid-50s. The plaintiff claims that Sharpe exerted control over her time and body, and that the relationship was marked by manipulation and threats. She alleges that Sharpe recorded their sexual activities without her knowledge and shared the videos without her consent.

The complaint details two specific incidents of alleged sexual assault: one in October 2024 and another in January 2025. In both instances, the plaintiff claims that Sharpe forced himself on her despite her protests. The lawsuit also references an incident where Sharpe allegedly threatened her life during an argument.

The plaintiff’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, stated, “It takes a great deal of courage to stand up against those with power, fame, and money. I look forward to pressing this case in court.”

As of now, Shannon Sharpe has not publicly responded to the allegations.
