Singer-Songwriter Safe Travels Drops “Listening To Your Heart”
Newcomer Safe Travels just officially shared dropped his new single “Listening To Your Heart,” as part of his “Sundays Ain’t Safe” campaign, where he drops music every Sunday.
In the song, he raises the important issue of battling drug addiction and shares resources for help for anyone who may be dealing with it. He himself has lost someone close to him as a result of drug overdose — and this song is a love letter to that person.
Growing up with a heavy passion for music, Safe knew he was destined to pursue music as a career. As a singer-songwriter, he takes influence from the greats such as D’Angelo. He would learn to play music instruments such as the saxophone, piano and bassoon, and with his penchant for singing, he is the next big star in the music industry.

Safe Travels shares new euphoric single “Listening To Your Heart”

Singer-songwriter and all-round artist, Arlington VA’s Safe Travels shares his latest single “Listening To Your Heart.” The poignant record is truly catchy and blends notes of indie, pop, and R&B – combined with Safe’s captivating lyrics and his message taking the spotlight, “Listening To Your Heart,” sets the tone for some of his best music yet. Safe Travels, who came up with his artist name “because of the nostalgic euphoria that music relays worldwide,” says that the new record stems from a moment he was laid up with a lady and could hear her heartbeat. Safe says that he heard the girl’s heart skip a beat while he was listening to it – Confused if it was a feeling of affection or a result of drug indulgence, Safe Travels formed “Listening To Your Heart,” out of the ordeal.
“The song is about battling the struggles of addiction & battling one’s insecurities,” he says.
“Millions of people around the world have fallen victim to drug abuse and if there is anything I’d like the listener to take from this record, it’s that you are not alone,” he continues. “Time heals all and if even for a second you have lost hope, don’t be afraid to talk to someone.”
Moving forward, every Sunday, Safe is set to release a piece of work — ranging from music videos, to BTS footage, he’s dubbing it ‘Sunday’s Ain’t Safe.’
“I hope the fans get to listen to my music and understand that the world isn’t so lonely,” he says. “There’s millions of kids around the world and though we’re all unique in our own way, we can potentially have the same setbacks and traumas.”
The aim of the ‘Sundays Ain’t Safe’ roll-out is to allow listeners and viewers to get acclimated to his personality, sound and thought process to his music.
“I want the consumer to have a real taste before I really go in and drop a full project”
