Swizz Beatz and Timbaland Sue Triller for $28 Million over Verzuz
Everybody about to be in Swizz Beatz and Timbaland comments like y’all should have stayed on Instagram and thats what y’all get for trying to charge us. The super producer team is suing Triller over the Verzuz brand. Looks like Triller failed to make some payments to Swizz and Timbaland since the teo agreed to sell Verzuz in Jan of 2021.
In March 2021, Triller announced it was acquiring Verzuz for an undisclosed amount. Swizz Beatz and Timbaland would be shareholders.
According to the lawsuit, the company began missing payments in Jan. 2022. Triller was suppose to pay them $9 million each no later than March 17. After that, Triller would pay them $500,000 each on the first of the month for 10 months.
Triller did not pay the $18 million in March or any of the $1 million monthly installment payments. In April, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz sent out a notice and demand for payment, but Triller still hasn’t paid up.
