Tory Lanez has had a surprisingly productive last few months, despite serving a 10-year prison sentence. The Canadian rapper had been releasing a series of older tracks, dubbed the “Lost Tapes,” that were compiled into his “Free Tory Playlist.” He even planned to release new music recorded from his prison cell, calling these tracks the “Prison Tapes.” Fans eagerly consumed this content, with some tracks climbing the charts on platforms like Spotify.

However, Tory’s creative output may be coming to an end. DJ Akademiks’ platform reported that Lanez’s prison cell was raided, and any recording equipment was confiscated, effectively halting his plans for further music releases. Fans quickly speculated that Roc Nation, the management team for Megan Thee Stallion, whom Lanez was convicted of assaulting, may have had a hand in the raid. Many took to social media to joke about Roc Nation’s involvement, with some blaming Megan for the situation.

It remains to be seen whether Tory Lanez will be able to find another way to release music from prison or if this marks the end of the “Prison Tapes.” Fans are eagerly awaiting more updates on the situation.
