Tyra Banks Reveals Her Home Burned Down In LA Wildfires

Tyra Banks recently revealed that she lost her home in a devastating event while appearing on the Australian breakfast show Sunrise on January 20. Speaking about her family and friends, Banks shared that some are coping better than others, and admitted, “I’m one of them” when asked if she knew anyone who had lost their home.

“I lost my house,” she said, explaining that she had kept it private because she didn’t want to draw attention to herself while others were also suffering. However, she felt the need to share the truth.

Banks was in Australia with her boyfriend, Louis Bélanger-Martin, when they discovered their home had been destroyed. They were celebrating with friends when Banks kept checking her phone to ensure loved ones were safe and evacuating. After realizing the news, Banks remained composed in front of her friends, but later, she and her partner shared a private moment of grief.

Despite the destruction of the property, Banks is thankful that many of their mementos were safe, as they had been in either Australia or New York at the time. “So, I didn’t lose those thank goodness,” she said.
