Rapper YFN Lucci, born Rayshawn Bennett, has been released from prison after serving a year for a 2024 conviction under the Street Gang and Terrorism Prevention Act. To mark his newfound freedom, Lucci shared heartwarming photos and videos of his emotional reunion with his family on Friday, January 31, 2025, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support during his time away.

In a statement, Lucci reflected on his experience, saying, “I’ve learned a lot during my time away. I’m incredibly grateful for my family and friends who have stood by me the whole time. Now, it’s my turn to give back.” He also pledged to use his voice, platform, and music to inspire others and show that it’s “never too late to make a change.” Lucci emphasized that this chapter is about “growth, redemption, and purpose,” and he’s eager to release new music and reconnect with his fans.

To celebrate his release, Lucci gathered 20 of his closest friends and family at The Vault inside The Bank Event Center. Among the images shared by his label, Think It’s a Game Records, were touching moments with his three children.

Lucci’s attorneys—Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg, Gabe Banks, and Pat Dixon—confirmed that he was granted early parole after serving part of a 20-year sentence for his role in a 2021 gang-related drive-by shooting. Although initially charged with murder, Lucci pleaded guilty to violating the Street Gang and Terrorism Prevention Act and was granted parole after just four months.

Now on parole until January 2031, Lucci is required to live with his mother, submit to drug tests, and avoid gang-related activities. Despite these conditions, he’s eager to get back to what he loves: making music and performing for his fans.
